buh-bye LOOKBOOK

When I first heard of lookbook I got so excited about posting my outfits and getting hypes and comments. I have to admit I got inspired but I realized my wardrobe won't take me anywhere close to this people. this is the one and the only pic i posted on my lookbook account and it has no hype and I have no follower. I got a better chance at Polyvore. Anyhow, I thought I'll just move my outfit post here and start posting some more if I'm not too lazy to edit them and upload em here.

Secret Recepe

I had lunch recently at Secret Fresh Megamall while waiting for my friend Carol to arrive. They first served the iced Tea which i find cool coz as you can see, the tea was just at the bottom then you have to miz it with the straw. and i have to say its gawd. After a couple of minutes they served my soup, and its delish. The entre was served after i finished my soup and well its just fine, nothing spectacular. i had to prolong my meal because i can foresee that mi amiga is going to be late. After an hour or so i had to request for them to serve my cake. I actually had to order another one because first its so good, what i has first is a chocolate cake and the one u can see on the picture is their best seller Almond Cake. After my extended desert i read some more magazine until i ran out of material to read so to kill my boredom I had to again order something, i thought i give their Chicken Satay a try which i kind of regret in the end because for one its not fried ( im sure they just re-heat it in the microwave) and 2 the taste is nothing near to Makan Sutra's Chicken Satay which by far is the best one i had. So if you are to ask me if ill go back to Secret Recipe, the answer is i might but not for their entre but for their pastries and TEA. Their service if good by the way, servers are responsive and they serve your food in timely fashion.

nomnomnom

so finally Carol arrived after like 4 hours. We went around Megamall while deciding where we are heading and then we decided to try out the cute hidden resto somewhere in E.Rod called Nomnomnom. We have always fancied this place but we never had the chance to go, when we got there, interestingly there are a couple of tables that are already occupied which proves that the place is known to foodies despite its tricky location. I cant divulge much on their menu coz what I just had is their deep fried ravioli with kangkong stuffings ( I'm awful at remembering the exact name so if I really wanna be a foodie then I have to write the names down. thats accuracy as per Journalism 101). So if you'll be asking me if I'll go back to Nomnomnom the answer is I will. I'm sure they have a lot more to offer which unfortunately I was not able to try due to, boy I'm so stuffed already.

Guerlain Rouge G Lipstick Galia

Every once in a while a girl deserves a little luxury.. A trinket that would glam up her make up pouch..

I had to expand my month's budget when i decided to buy this dainty one but i went home happy.

Guerlain Rouge G Lipstick costs 2500 Php in Rustan's Greenbelt, not my usual spend for a lipstick but I'd have to say this thing is definitely worth every cent.

Galia is of beige to nude color which is perfect for any season. I was very smittened when i tried it the first time.. of course i was overly excited i wasn't able to moisture my lips prior to applying the lipstick but surprise surprise.. Even with my chappy lips, the pigments of the lipstick did not break (you know how it is when you apply on a cheap lipstick on chappy lips and the pigments follow the edge of the bits in your lips) but thats not the case for Guerlain. After a few minutes the bits are gone and my lips are moistured. It last long too. It's expensive for a reason.

The Heat EDSA Shangri La

Last Oct 1 we celebrated Ate Kangs 24th Birthday and I was not able hide my delight when she told me it'll be a dinner at The Heat at EDSA Shangri La. And although it was kind of short notice, I still got to pull up an ensemble that eventually liked.

I really enjoyed the dessert spread, the deserts at The Heat are well thought of. The selection are all delicious and of quality ingredients. Off course I also liked their steak, some other buffet restaurants like Vikings claim they serve Angus or Wagyu steak like but The Heat's tastes the best among all of them, and they didn't claim its some special steak. Nothing really beats The Heat for me, I havents been to Sofitel's Spiral though.

Excited for EDSA Shangri La The Heat Dinner Buffet

Kojie San and the Filipino's Skin Whitening Craze

Much has been said about Asians, and one of them is our obsession with getting fairer and whiter skin.

And I'm not ashamed to admit that I myself is a fan of skin whitening products. If only equal attention and opportunities are given to people of lighter and darker skin tone, I would have been more content with my natural morena skin. Unfortunately this is not the case; you're not globally competitive if you're not inclined with fashion, fair enough or pretty enough. Just like the way we spend to cultivate our skills, manners, knowledge, we should also invest in our aesthetics.

After all what job does not require "With Pleasing Personality" ?

Kojie San Facial Foal and Kojic Soap

Included in my beauty arsenal is Kojic soap and Kojic Facial Foam. At this point i cant tell much about the facial foam because Ive just been using it for a week but the Kojic soap has always been part of my daily routine, it may tend to dry out your skin but you can always apply lotion or moisturizer afterwards. After all, its really worth it as it can really lighten arms, armpits, groins, etc. I can attest that Kojic is an effective skin lightening agent.

So whats in your beauty arsenal?
