The Heat EDSA Shangri La

Last Oct 1 we celebrated Ate Kangs 24th Birthday and I was not able hide my delight when she told me it'll be a dinner at The Heat at EDSA Shangri La. And although it was kind of short notice, I still got to pull up an ensemble that eventually liked.

I really enjoyed the dessert spread, the deserts at The Heat are well thought of. The selection are all delicious and of quality ingredients. Off course I also liked their steak, some other buffet restaurants like Vikings claim they serve Angus or Wagyu steak like but The Heat's tastes the best among all of them, and they didn't claim its some special steak. Nothing really beats The Heat for me, I havents been to Sofitel's Spiral though.

Excited for EDSA Shangri La The Heat Dinner Buffet

Kojie San and the Filipino's Skin Whitening Craze

Much has been said about Asians, and one of them is our obsession with getting fairer and whiter skin.

And I'm not ashamed to admit that I myself is a fan of skin whitening products. If only equal attention and opportunities are given to people of lighter and darker skin tone, I would have been more content with my natural morena skin. Unfortunately this is not the case; you're not globally competitive if you're not inclined with fashion, fair enough or pretty enough. Just like the way we spend to cultivate our skills, manners, knowledge, we should also invest in our aesthetics.

After all what job does not require "With Pleasing Personality" ?

Kojie San Facial Foal and Kojic Soap

Included in my beauty arsenal is Kojic soap and Kojic Facial Foam. At this point i cant tell much about the facial foam because Ive just been using it for a week but the Kojic soap has always been part of my daily routine, it may tend to dry out your skin but you can always apply lotion or moisturizer afterwards. After all, its really worth it as it can really lighten arms, armpits, groins, etc. I can attest that Kojic is an effective skin lightening agent.

So whats in your beauty arsenal?

DIY Make Up Remover Wipes

For a person who's into water proof mascara and liquid eyelid liners like myself, washing your face with simple facial wash to remove the eye make up just won't do the job. You may try to wash it twice or even thrice but a good mascara will just make your lashes even more hard and stuck up together in portions. So unless you have the budget for a good facial wash with make up remover that is potent enough to remove the eye make up,  you can try using oil based make up removers. Fast and Effective and way way Cheaper!

There's a lot of brands like Neutrogena or MAC and some Korean brands too that sells Makeup remover in the form of wipes but the price is hefty. So if you're cost cutting, why not make your own, right?

You need your make up remover. Mine is Equate and I got it as a pasalubong from my cousin based in U.S. There's a lot of other make up removers available in local market here in the Philippines. You may try the one available from Ever Bilena or Nichido.

I don't really like using cotton because the fibers gets trapped on my eye lashes so instead I use baby wipes! Yipee. Just make sure its alcohol free.. and I prefer mine scent free as well. This brand is what I've always been using, Giggles is for about Php 37.00 at Watsons for 20 sheets.

Lastly you will need an atomizer to transfer the makeup remover into. I use this to distribute the liquid onto the wipes evenly and adequately. If you don't use an atomizer, you'll ran out of make up remover right away because the wipes will absorb like a leech.

Squeeze the wipes to remove excess water and
Spray the makeup remover  2-3 times  all over the wipes
And there you have it, your inexpensive but effective eye makeup remover.

Maybelline Color Sensational 125 Pink Petal

Ok so I'm going to make individual reviews of my three favorite lippies for this season. And I'm starting of with the TOP 1 for me.

I love the smell of this one.  Although its pink, the smell reminds me of cinnamon and yes its one of those lip products that you would want to taste had it been edible.

This lippy makes my lips smooth and doesn't chap even after long hours. Its moisture level is just as I want it, doesn't make my lips too shiny and not too matte either.

If you're looking for the perfect shade of pink lipstick, Pink Petal might be suitable for you. Its not the Nicki Minaj kind of pink but its not bare there or subtle.

I really like it and I thinks its just worth my money.
